About Esper

Esper Bionics is a deep-tech company building intelligent bionic limbs and sensor systems that redefine human capability. Our flagship product — the Esper Hand — is an AI-driven prosthesis that learns from the user. We’re expanding in the U.S. and are looking for a hands-on sales leader to help us break into one of the most conservative and monopolized markets in healthcare — prosthetics.

Role Overview

This is not a traditional sales role.

We’re looking for a Sales Lead who can both sell and build — someone who is comfortable owning deals end-to-end today and helping shape a scalable sales function tomorrow.

You will play a key role in establishing Esper’s early commercial presence in the U.S., closing the first strategic accounts, and working closely with leadership to refine our go-to-market approach in the prosthetics space.

Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

+

Own and execute Esper’s early U.S. sales efforts, with a focus on prosthetic clinics, national O&P networks, and strategic partners.

+

Build relationships with certified prosthetists, clinic owners, and decision-makers across the O&P ecosystem.

+

Support market entry initiatives including VA, DoD, and key institutional customers.

+

Act as a trusted product and market expert for customers, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows and real user needs.

Deal Execution

+

Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and discovery to negotiation and close.

+

Personally close early deals while documenting learnings and best practices.

+

Collaborate with leadership on pricing, reimbursement considerations, and commercial positioning.

Foundation for Scale

+

Help define early sales processes, CRM structure, and reporting.

+

Contribute to GTM playbooks, segmentation, and channel strategy for the U.S. prosthetics market.

+

Provide feedback from the field to inform product, clinical, and commercial strategy.

+

Over time, support hiring and onboarding of additional sales talent as the team grows.

Our Ideal Candidate

Must Have

+

Experience working in or closely with the prosthetics / O&P industry (devices, clinics, manufacturers, or distributors).

+

Solid understanding of the U.S. O&P ecosystem, including clinical decision-making and distribution channels.

+

Strong hands-on sales skills with the ability to own deals independently.

+

Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable operating in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment.

+

Experience selling complex medical or deep-tech products to clinicians or healthcare organizations.

+

Familiarity with VA, DoD, or U.S. healthcare reimbursement pathways.

+

Willingness to travel up to 40–60%.

Nice to have

+

Existing relationships within O&P networks (e.g., Hanger, SPS, or similar).

+

Experience in early-stage startups or fast-growing companies.

+

Exposure to building or scaling sales processes from scratch.

+

Clinical background or experience working directly with prosthetists.

Why This Role

+

Direct impact on market entry and early revenue in the U.S.

+

High ownership and visibility working closely with the CEO and leadership team.

+

Opportunity to grow into a senior commercial or people leadership role as the company scales.

+

Mission-driven work at the intersection of AI, robotics, and human capability.
