Our flagship product — the Esper Hand — is an AI-driven prosthesis that learns from the user. We’re expanding fast in the U.S. and looking for a hands-on commercial leader who can help us break into one of the most conservative and monopolized markets in healthcare — prosthetics.

Role Overview

This is not a “corporate sales” role.

We’re looking for a builder — someone who thinks like a founder, knows how to open doors in a complex industry, and is ready to take ownership of revenue from day one.

You’ll help Esper establish its first commercial footprint in the U.S., close the early key accounts, and lay the foundation for scalable growth.

Responsibilities

Market Entry & Growth

+

Lead Esper’s entry into the U.S. market — VA, DoD, and national O&P networks.

+

Build and manage partnerships with prosthetic clinics, distributors, and certified prosthetists.

+

Work with leadership on reimbursement, clinical validation, and pricing strategy.

+

Act as Esper’s domain expert in the U.S. prosthetics market, ensuring alignment with industry standards and clinical needs.

Sales Execution

+

Own the full sales cycle — from strategy to close.

+

Personally lead initial deals while building the first sales team.

+

Develop GTM playbooks, channel strategy, and customer segmentation specifically tailored to the prosthetics and rehabilitation market.

Commercial Infrastructure

+

Create scalable sales operations: forecasting, CRM, reporting, comp structures, SOPs.

+

Build a data-driven sales culture centered on results, speed, and accountability.

+

Integrate clinical and prosthetic market insights into commercial strategy and decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Must Have

+

Direct experience in the prosthetics industry — ideally working with prosthetic devices, clinics, or manufacturers.

+

Deep understanding of the O&P (Orthotics & Prosthetics) ecosystem, including clinical workflows, user needs, and distribution channels.

+

Entrepreneurial — you want to build and win, not just manage.

+

Skilled in commercializing complex medical technologies and selling to clinicians, distributors, and healthcare systems.

+

Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, resource-limited startup where you create the playbook, not follow one.

+

Familiar with VA, DoD, and reimbursement pathways in the U.S. healthcare system.

+

Ready to travel up to 50–60%.

Nice to have

+

Existing network within O&P groups (e.g., Hanger, SPS, or similar)

+

Experience in early-stage startups or founding teams.

+

Proven record of building high-impact sales teams from scratch.

+

Background as a prosthetist or in clinical prosthetic sales would be a strong plus.
