Water protection

Esper Hand 2 has IPX5-rated water protection for safe everyday contact with water. The hand is designed to tolerate common daily water exposure, such as dish washing or exposure to rain.

Esper Hand 2 should not be submerged, used in high-pressure water, or exposed to salt water, chlorinated water, abrasive materials, solvents, or chemical cleaning agents. After exposure to water, the device should be wiped with a dry cloth and left to air-dry at room temperature.

Esper Hand 2 is water-resistant for everyday use; it is not intended for swimming or prolonged submersion.

Compatibility and wrist options

Esper Hand 2 is designed for broad compatibility with prosthetic components, including a wide variety of myoelectric sensors, batteries, and control schemes. Final compatibility should be confirmed by a qualified prosthetist and by Esper Bionics documentation.

Esper Hand 2 is not intended for high-impact or extreme activities such as rock climbing, skiing, powerlifting, or mountain biking. Excessive strain can damage the device and may void the warranty.
